Internal Projects
Art Installation at B+labs
Display areas in the B+labs facility will serve as exhibition space for local artists. Residents are invited to submit their artworks to be considered for display at B₊labs. Each art installation will be themed and will be on display for 3 months at a time. Internal and external artists are invited to participate and will have the option of selling their pieces on-site for no cost. Installation deadlines and exhibitions will be announced via the weekly newsletter
B+labs Professional Development + Career Mentoring Program
The project aims to generate excitement for Philadelphia High School students to explore Life Sciences as a career path and increase awareness of the diverse post-secondary options within this sector.
In Fall 2023, B₊labs is partnering with Murrell Dobbins Career and Technical Education High School and the Philadelphia School District to develop a six-week Biotechnology program for Dobbins High School seniors. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, students will gain valuable insights into the skills, knowledge and opportunities associated with each career path, helping them make informed decisions about their future in Life Sciences.
