This Facilities Services Policy describes the types of support services offered and equipment maintenance responsibilities and expectations.
EHS Operations & Programs
B+labs Environmental Health & Safety Program includes access to highly experienced EHS professionals and support for tenants to develop company-specific programs that will ensure all employees are operating in a safe, healthful and compliant work environment.

EHS Regulatory Compliance
All tenants shall operate in a manner that is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies. It is the responsibility of the tenant to ensure all employees are trained appropriately and requisite personal protective is available and used.
B+labs maintains all applicable Environmental Health & Safety Polices. They may be used as a benchmark/template for Residents to incorporate into your programs.
If Resident companies wish to utilize B+labs policies presented on this page as their own:
- The Fundamentals of Lab Safety Course must be completed.
- All policies and procedures must be reviewed including B+labs EHS Manual, Emergency Protocols and Waste Management. When reviewed, complete the B+labs EHS Compliance Quiz.
- It is the responsibility of resident companies to ensure all employees are offered and receive applicable vaccinations in accordance with the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard.
- If handling human source materials, training must occur annually.
- All employee training and vaccination records must be maintained by the resident company.
B+labs reserves the right to audit tenant laboratory spaces and respective EHS regulatory documentation. Items addressed, if applicable will include:

- Emergency Action Plans
- Compressed Gas Safety
- Hazard Communication

Aside from inspections, if there are apparent issues that may be an immediate threat to life and health, and/or compliance matters that merit urgent attention, tenants shall address them in a satisfactory and timely manner.
Upon request, Tenants shall provide chemical inventory information to B+labs to satisfy regulatory compliance requirements.
